Luis Rubiales Shocks Spanish Football With BOMBSHELL DECISION After World Cup Kiss

Luis Rubiales is on the news again for his controversial decision following his grim FIFA Women’s World Cup footage, MySportDab reports.

The 46-year-old Spanish football chief suffer heavy backlash from fans, pundits, and top Spanish officials after an embarrassing footage of him kissing a Spanish women’s football player, Jennifer Hermoso, surfaced.

While welcoming the players and lauding the World Cup victory over England, Luis Rubiales grabbed Jennifer Hermoso in the head and kissed her live on the podium.

Since the footage surfaced, Hermoso has been targeted by Spanish football fans for his disgraceful and embarrassing showing during the tournament.

After heavy criticism, Rubiales apologized but has maintained the gesture was spontaneous and did not have any filthy intent attached to it.

While he has labored to clear his name amid the widespread condemnation, there were reports in Spain he will resign in his first official meeting of Spanish football federation general assembly after the World Cup scandal.

The meeting was convened as a matter of urgency to address the incident and also settle lingering football issues in Spain.

Now, against the widespread rumor that Luis Rubiales will tender his resignation at the event, the former Levante player turned football administrator shocked Spanish football with the a controversial decision not to resign.

Speaking at the meeting, Luis Rubiales stated clear he will not resigned and will fight till the end as he has been wrongly targeted because the kiss was consensual and spontaneous.

“Jenni was the one who lifted me up,” he said. “I told her to ‘forget about the penalty’ and I said to her ‘a little peck?’ and she said ‘OK’.

“It was a spontaneous kiss. Mutual, euphoric and consensual. That’s the key. A consensual ‘peck’ is enough to get me out of here?”

Laliga president Javier Tebas, Former Manchester United goalkeeper, David De Gea, former Real Madrid goalkeeper, Iker Casillas, and several professional football players in Spain, including the World Cup winning Women’s team have kicked against Luis Rubiales decision not to resign.

Meanwhile, FIFA have kicked off proceedings against him for alleged breach of standing rules according to FIFA article 13 which frowns at ‘offensive behavior.’
