Manchester United Confirms Update on Amad Diallo Injury [Full Details]

Manchester United have confirmed update on Amad Diallo Injury, MySportDab reports.

The winger will now miss the start of the season after suffering an injury during Man United’s preseason tour of the United States.

Amad’s knee injury will keep him out of action for the start of the season, according to Manchester United.

On United’s US tour, the Ivory Coast winger hobbled out against Arsenal. Since then, he hasn’t appeared in any of their exhibition games.

The winger wrote on Instagram that his injury was “nothing serious” and that he will soon be “back.” Despite this, United has not yet announced a specific date for his return.

Amad will miss both the Premier League season opener against Wolves and United’s final preseason games. It might also put a stop to any chances of him getting a loan before the transfer window ends.

United was eager to monitor Amad’s development during preseason before making a choice. When Erik ten Hag next addresses the media, he’ll be pressured for an update.

Unfortunately, he (Amad) has also been declared out of the first half of the 2023–24 season. The club said: “We await further information on his estimated recovery date, with Erik ten Hag’s Reds’ home league match against Wolverhampton Wanderers up first on Monday, August 14.”

In 27 Championship starts last season, Amad scored 13 goals, assisting the Black Cats in making the playoffs. Luton Town defeated Tony Mowbray’s team to get to the championship game.

Having cost £19 million, the 21-year-old joined United from Atalanta in 2021.
