Manchester United have postpone the planned announcement of a decision on Mason Greenwood, MySportDab reports
There were reports the club were ready to finally take a decision on Mason Greenwood before their Premier League opener against Wolves on Monday 12 August 2023.
Now, Manchester United Evening News have confirmed the club have decided to postpone the planned announcement.
According to Samuel Luckhurst, Manchester United are however closing in on a decision on Mason Greenwood and have entered consultation phase after being through the investigations.
Some key stakeholders at the club are also entering into discussions with the club with final details of the resolution set to be communicated to Manchester United director Richard Arnold, who will take the final decision on Mason Greenwood.
Meanwhile, Man United females’ fan group have called on the club not to reinstate Mason Greenwood back to the team and are planning a heavy protest to register their concerns.
MySportDab understand Manchester United are more likely to be lenient on their decision on Mason Greenwood and will likely bring back the young forward.
Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, actually don’t have a role in the reinstatement process but has expressed his readiness to work with Greenwood should the club decide to bring him back.
Greenwood, who has not played for Manchester United for over a year has been spotted recently on individual training as he warms for a return to action but he will now have to wait Manchester United next move to learn his fate soon.
