Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has clinched the 2023 UEFA Men’s Coach of The Year Award, MySportDab reports.

The Spaniard deservedly clinch the award after he led Manchester City to their first ever Champions League trophy last season.

Guardiola oversaw an incredible season with Manchester City last season, leading the club to a historic treble of Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League title.

Manchester City beat off the competition from Arsenal to clinch their third successive Premier League trophy last season under the guidance of Guardiola.

City also shone on the European scene, seeing off RB Leipzig in round 16 and Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals before eliminating defending Champions Real Madrid with an emphatic 5-1 win to reach the final of the tournament.

In the final, the Premier League giants saw off a hard-fighting Serie A side Inter Milan to clinch the trophy.

Rodri scored the winning lone goal enough to ensure victory as the Cityzens ran out with a deserved 1-0 win to clinch their first Champions League trophy and first European crown in decades.

Guardiola will hope to continue from where he stopped last season and has already began his campaign with a winning start, winning three out of three Premier League matches to top the Premier League table.

Manchester City have now known their Champions League opponents following the draws as released by UEFA.

They are draw against RB Leipzig alongside Crvena Zvezda, and Young Boys in Group G.

City will hope to retain the title they won last season as they set out for another exciting Champions League campaign this season.
