A Premier League footballer has been accused of raping three women has been ‘released under investigation’, MySportDab reports.

The player not named for legal reasons, was arrested in north London on July 4, 2022 by the police for rape.

In the following days, a second woman accused the same player of rape for an incident in 2021, and a third woman came forward in 2023.

The footballer was questioned by police under caution of the incident that took place in February 2022.

He did not stop playing in the Premier League last season due to multiple bail extensions, and the latest one was in July.

He went to know more about his bail conditions this week, but the police informed him that there’s no longer a specific date for him going forward.

Due to this, the player will begin the new season which start next weekend ‘under investigation’.

It remains unknown when a decision on this case will be reached.

The Met Police released a statement which read: ‘On 4 July 2022, an woman in her 20s reported a rape incident to police.

‘The alleged rape happened in June 2022. On 4 July 2022, police took a 30-year-old man into custody for the rape allegations against him.

‘While in custody, he was charged on suspicion of two more rape cases that were committed in April and June of 2021 against different women.

‘In February 2023, the man was questioned for a sexual offence alleged to have taken place in February 2022. This relates to a third rape victim that reported to police in July 2022.’

The Met Police have refused to provide more comments on the case.
