The day Rasmus Hojlund will make his debut for Manchester United amid his recent fitness scare has been revealed, MySportDab reports

The £72m signing from Atalanta is suffering a back injury that will delay his debut for the club.

During his medical at Manchester United, it was revealed Rasmus Hojlund showed signs of stress response hotspots in his back – a stress condition typical with young players which are usually managed with reduced training and lesser exercise schedule.

It is understood the medical condition will delay his debut for Manchester United with the club’s physio revealing he could be out for as much as 6 weeks before full recovery.

However, Manchester United are poised to allow the player make his debut for the club early but will limit his minutes to allow him recover fully from the condition before playing full time.

He could start a match and then subbed off or start on the bench but will not be allowed to play full 90 minutes.

Manchester United will kick off their Premier League campaign against Wolves on Monday 14 August 2023 with Rasmus Hojlund ruled out of the clash.

The Danish striker is also expected to miss a number of games after the opening game before finally making his debut for the club.

According to The Athletic, Manchester United are planning to allow Rasmus Hojlund make his debut for the club against Arsenal on 3 September 2023.

The former Atalanta forward will be expected to headline Manchester United’s attack as the club tackle Arsenal on the said date.

It is believed he would have regained his fitness enough to start for the club by then.
