Brazil FA Issue Statement On Antony

Brazil FA have issued statement on Antony’s Brazil national team future following assault claims by his former girlfriend, MySportDab reports.

Antony’s former partner and celebrity DJ Gabriela Cavalin, resurfaced recently with fresh allegations against Antony.g

Gabriela previously lodged a complain against Antony for domestic assault in Brazil with the Brazilian authorities begining investigations into the incident.

Now, it has been confirmed Gabriela has also reported the matter to Manchester Police where Antony is currently residing to pursue his career with Manchester United.

One of the incident of the alleged abuses is said to have happened in Manchester in Antony’s residence.

Detailing the various incidents of the alleged abuse, backed up with audio and video recording, Gabriela said she sustained injuries and had to be hospitalized after being violently assaulted by Antony.

She also added she suffered a miscarriage after a more brutal assault by the Manchester United winger and even lost her breast implant.

Antony has denied the allegations as raised by Gabriela Cavalin but investigations into the incident has begun.

Brazil national team removed him from their World Cup qualifiers squad with reports he will never be called back to the squad pending the outcome of the investigations.

Brazil FA statement on Antony following the allegations reads;

”In order to safeguard the alleged victim, the player, the Brazilian national team and the CBF, the organisation informs that Antony has been removed from the Brazilian national team.’’

Antony played his first World Cup for Brazil in 2022 World Cup following his recent gains in his career.

However, his career is at risk if he doesn’t come out unscathed from the assault allegations.

Following the decision of Brazil FA to suspend Antony, Manchester United will now be coming under pressure to suspend him too as Manchester Police commences investigations into the allegations.

As of the time of filing this report, Manchester United are yet to comment on the incident.
