Julian Alvarez scored a brace as Manchester City came from behind to beat Crvena Zvezda 3-1, MySportDab reports.
The Champions were behind in the first half which saw them making the most of the play but couldn’t benefit from their dominance.
City came in the second half and were able to get the job done proving their status as Champions of Europe once again.

There Stadium was buzzing from the kickoff which saw the UEFA Champions League holders kicking off their campaign for the new season.
Manchester City gained control of the match immediately from kickoff which saw them pushing and making everything work for them.
Crvena Zvezda had a lot to deal with as the game pushed on between them and the Champions who had more of the ball and opportunities created.
Shockingly the away side took the lead in the 45 minutes through a nerve wrecking goal scored by Osman Bukari to make things 0-1 between them.
The goal had to be checked by VAR which did not change the decision as Crvena Zvezda headed for the break with a 0-1 lead against Manchester City.
The second half was where all hell was broken with the home side ensuring they were able to make good use of their given opportunities in the match.
Manchester City wasted no time in making things level 1-1 in the 47th minutes through a right foot finish from Julian Alvarez who was assisted by Erling Haaland.
Crvena Zvezda was not balanced yet before Julian Alvarez added another one in the 60th minute through a wonderful placed freekick which curled in making things 2-1.
Rodri made things 3-1 with another goal which came later in the match at the 73rd minutes which saw Phil Foden setting up the assist for the wonderful goal.
Manchester City finished off the job beating Crvena Zvezda 3-1 in their opening campaign of the UEFA Champions League 2023-24 season.
