Manchester United New Full Statement On Antony [MUST READ]

Manchester United have issued a new statement on Antony explaining their decision to recall the embattled back to training, MySportDab reports.

Recall Manchester United agreed with Antony to delay his return to Manchester United training following assault allegations by his former girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin and three other women.

After he was freezed from Man United squad, Antony traveled to Brazil where he had answered queries on the allegations from Brazil.

On Monday, he was back to Manchester and was seen voluntarily taking himself to Manchester Police to also answer queries related to the allegations.

Antony was grilled for five hours by Manchester Police and left the police station by 9pm yesterday escorted by Manchester United security personnel.

Now, following his interrogations by both Brazil and Manchester Police, Manchester United have now deem it necessary to bring him back to the squad.

Manchester United full statement confirming the decision to bring him back to the squad reads;

“Since allegations were first made in June, Antony has co-operated with police inquiries in both Brazil and the UK, and he continues to do so.

“As Antony’s employer, Manchester United has decided that he will resume training at Carrington, and be available for selection, while police inquiries proceed. This will be kept under review pending further developments in the case.”As a club, we condemn acts of violence and abuse. We recognise the importance of safeguarding all those involved in this situation, and acknowledge the impact these allegations have on survivors of abuse.”

Antony will be expected to make Manchester United’s matchday squad against Crystal Palace on the weekend after missing weeks of actions.
