Manchester United unveiled new signing Sergio Reguilon who joined from Tottenham on the transfer deadline, MySportDab reports.

The defender will be coming in as a backup plan with the Old Trafford club experiencing several players out injured.

Sergio Reguilon joining Manchester United is a move which both parties are hoping it will be beneficial for them.

The defender was tempted to make the move when the offer came with Champions League football on the table.

Meanwhile Manchester United have explored other option which included Chelsea Marc Cucurella.

The move for the Chelsea defender was abandoned due to high demands which those at Old Trafford don’t have much investment.

Manchester United made the unveiling and announcement known via their official website and other platforms.

Here Is What Reguilon Said:

“In life you have to be ready for everything and the chance to represent this great club with such an illustrious history is one that I could not turn down.

“Having spoken to the manager, I know what he needs from me, and I am ready to play my part in helping the team to achieve success.

“I know that I can contribute to Manchester United this season; I am ready to fight for this group and show everyone my qualities.”

The deal is on a loan move which was pushed on deadline day to make sure everything completes.

Manchester United will have the player with them for the season before he will make his move back to Tottenham.

Sergio Reguilon will be quickly fixed into the team with him looking to make his debut before the International break.
