Nigerian sensation Victor Boniface stole the spotlight as Bayer Leverkusen secured a resounding 4-1 victory over newly-promoted Heidenheim, MySportDab. reports.

The Super Eagles striker showcased his prowess with a remarkable brace in a Bundesliga showdown that further solidified Leverkusen’s impressive form this season.

Bayer Leverkusen has been in scintillating form, winning four matches and drawing just one in the Bundesliga. Victor Boniface, who arrived from Belgian club Royale Union SG, has proven to be a revelation for the team, consistently leading the attack.

Die Werkself wasted no time asserting their dominance in the game, pushing Heidenheim onto the back foot. Boniface had an early chance in the 5th minute, although his initial shot was blocked by a defender.

However, he quickly redeemed himself four minutes later when he received a precise pass from Exequiel Palacios. With a burst of speed, Boniface unleashed a powerful shot that found its way into the bottom right corner of the net.

Despite creating numerous opportunities in the first half, Bayer Leverkusen could not add to their tally before halftime.

The team maintained their intensity into the second half but conceded an unexpected goal when Eren Dinkci struck for Heidenheim in the 58th minute.

Nevertheless, Leverkusen regrouped swiftly and recaptured the lead in the 63rd minute through a goal by Jonas Hofmann.

Boniface, having an exceptional game, seized the opportunity to complete his brace in the 75th minute after Bayer Leverkusen was awarded a penalty. The 22-year-old striker left nothing to chance, confidently slotting the ball into the net to make it 3-1.

Victor Boniface’s outstanding performance saw him join an elite club of Bundesliga history-makers, becoming the third player to score two or more goals in three of his first five games.

He now shares this distinction with renowned talents like Manchester City star Erling Haaland and retired Borussia Dortmund veteran Jan Mattsson.

Amine Adil added the icing on the cake for Bayer Leverkusen with a goal in the 82nd minute, and Boniface was substituted two minutes later.

The final score stood at 4-1 in favor of Leverkusen at the Bay Arena, propelling them to second place in the Bundesliga standings.

With this impressive display, Victor Boniface’s goal tally in the German top-flight this season now stands at six, reaffirming his status as one of the league’s standout performers.
