Andre Onana REJECTS FA Probe On Garnacho ‘Racist’ Post

Andre Onana has called the FA to abandon their investigations on his teammate Alejandro Garnacho for a purported racist post against him, MySportDab reports.

Alejandro Garnacho had took to his social media handle to post an emoji of a gorilla to celebrate Andre Onana’s last-gasp penalty save against FC Copenhagen to secure all three points for Manchester United.

The FA have took up the post and are investigating the Argentine youngster for a possible racial abuse on Andre Onana.

However, Onana seems to share a different opinion from the FA and has insisted Garnacho did not intend to abuse him racially and the investigation should stop.

He said;

“People cannot chose what I should be offended on. Garnacho meant power and strength. This should go no further.”

Onana has obviously undermined FA probe into the incident insisting Garnacho has been interpreted wrongly by the FA and besides he doesn’t feel offended by the post.

Meanwhile, his comment may did little or nothing to the ongoing probe as the FA are bent on handing down punishment to Garnacho after if found guilty after probe.

According to reports, he could face a ban or fine as the post contravenes FA extant rules against racism.

Andre Onana won the heart of Manchester United fans after an underwhelming start to life at Old Trafford as he saved a last-gasp penalty from Jordan Larsson to hand Manchester United a much-needed win in Champions League against FC Copenhagen.

United will next travel to Denmark for the reverse fixture and will be hoping to pick nothing less from three points to boost their chances of qualifying to the next stage of the competition.

Meanwhile, they will host Manchester City in the Premier League at Old Trafford this weekend for the highly-anticipated Manchester Derby.
