Erik ten Hag Confirms Champions League Squad Update Vs Galatasaray

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed Man United squad update ahead of the Champions League clash against Galatasaray, MySportDab reports.

United will hope to salvage all three points against the Turkish Champions after they stumbled to an opening defeat against Bayern Munich in a seven-goal thriller in Germany.

The group is still open for any team to qualify to the next round of the competition as only one match has been played.

United will host Galatasaray in what will be a crucial tie for Erik ten Hag as he faces heavy pressure to return the team to winning ways after Premier League home defeat to Crystal Palace.

Ahead of the game, which comes up tomorrow, Erik ten Hag has confirmed Man United’s available and unavailable players for the clash.

Speaking at Carrington, ten Hag confirmed some injured Man United players such as Lisandro Martinez, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Tom Heaton, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, will not make the squad.

It was thought Sergio Reguilon, who has now missed two matches for the club will return but it has been confirmed he will not make the squad as he is yet to recover from the sidelines.

Another big boost to Man United is the return of Antony, who was back to training with the club after being temporarily suspended for investigations into assault allegations.

Erik ten Hag confirmed Antony will be particularly considered to start against Galatasaray.

“Antony will be in consideration,” the boss said at his press conference at Carrington.

“Yesterday was his (Antony) first time in team training. We have a final training [session] and then we’ll make a decision. But he will be in consideration, yeah.

“I think the team news is probably [just that] Antony dos Santos can return.”

Manchester United will hope to roll back the Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend and come out with nothing less from victory against Galatasaray.
