FT: Spain 2-0 Scotland, Alvaro Morata STRIKES! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Alvaro Morata scored as Spain smashed Scotland 2-0 in European qualifications match, MySportDab reports.

Scot McTominay scored a goal which was chopped off by VAR as the Scottish National team failed to repeat another feat against their opponent.

The game saw both teams finishing first and second place which granted them automatic qualifications into the group stages.

Match Report

They both had a go at each other in the first half of the match which was cagey between them with opportunities but nothing good.

Spain came into the match with revenge after losing the first leg which wasn’t an easy on to bear on that day after 90 minutes played.

For Scotland it was all about them making sure they gave a good account and tried making it a double against the side they beat on their home ground.

It was nothing all through the first half which saw Scotland holding Spain to a goalless 0-0 draw which was how things played out as they headed for the break.

Enough was seen in the second half which saw goals coming in from both ends but the away side were not lucky enough from theirs.

Scotland scored in the 60th minutes through a goal from Scot McTominay which had the see VAR come in and ruled out the goal as the game carried on.

Spain were able to take the lead which came in the 73rd minutes through an outstanding finish from Alvaro Morata who was assisted by Navas to make it 1-0.

Another goal happened in the 86th minutes scored by Oihan Sancet who was able to see things increased further to 2-0 as they both continued playing the match.

Spain claimed the needed victory ensuring their automatic qualifications into Euro 2024 with a 2-0 victory against Scotland which was well deserved after 90 minutes of action.
