Juventus Decision On Paul Pogba Drug Scandal CONFIRMED! [Details]

Juventus’ proposed decision on Paul Pogba amid his failed drug test has been confirmed, MySportDab reports.

Paul Pogba tested positive for testosterone on August 20 during Juventus Vs Bologna match – a match he did not play.

He was given a lifeline by Italian anti-doping agency to request for a counter-analysis test to either disprove or affirm the previous test result.

Pogba requested for the counter-analysis test and unfortunately it is all grim for the French midfielder as it still turns out positive.

Recall Juventus issued a statement after his previous test result emerged clarifying the club’s position on the drug scandal.

Now, following the result of the counter-analysis, Italian media outlet Gazetta dello Sport says Juventus are now ready to part ways with Paul Pogba by ripping apart his contract.

Gazetta also added that Juventus has already suspended a huge chunk of Paul Pogba’s salary to €2000 per month due to the drug scandal.

However, the club are reportedly yet to communicate the decision officially but closes sources have revealed the club’s only option is to end the deal with the embattled midfielder.

Meanwhile, Pogba is yet to be prosecuted by Italian anti-doping agency but will soon be docked for substance abuse.

He is at the risk of facing a potential four year ban due to the scandal and will likely see his career finally come to a sad end.

Juventus’ proposed decision to end his contract is not coming as a surprise though.

Pogba has struggled on the sidelines, making just 14 appearances for the club in the last two seasons while being paid £6.8m annually.

The drug scandal is coming amid his dwindling fortunes at Turin since he rejoined the club from Manchester United in 2022.
