United’s grim start to the season came to the head last night when Turkish champions Galatasaray inflicted a shock defeat on the club at Old Trafford in Champions Matchday 2 clash.

It was the first time Galatasaray have won a competitive game on English soil after 177 years.

United have now gone with two straight Champions League defeats with a back-to-back defeat at Old Trafford.

There have been uncertainties over the future of Erik ten Hag at Manchester United following the poor run of results.

Now, reports reaching us from talkSport has confirmed Man United’s board position on Erik ten Hag.

According to the report, Manchester United board are not considering parting ways with Erik ten Hag despite the underwhelming start to the season.

The report adds Erik ten Hag’s future at the club is not under discussion as reported by some media outlets.

Erik ten Hag has a contract with Manchester United till 2025 and the club were poised to extend his contract but it is still unclear whether the extension plan will be activated as things stand.

Erik ten Hag have another home game in the Premier League against Brentford and will hope to roll back the poor performance with a win against the Bees at the weekend.
