Mauricio Pochettino Fires Warning To Chelsea Top Player After Arsenal Draw

Mauricio Pochettino has fired a warning to a top Chelsea player following draw with Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, MySportDab reports.

Chelsea gave away a two-goal lead in the first half to settle for a 2-2 draw with Arsenal.

Goals from Declan Rice and Leandro Trossard in the second half tied the game till the final whistle.

It was a largely top-notch result from a Chelsea side that has struggled so far this term but Mauricio Pochettino believed his side would have done more to keep the lead and snatch a win against Arsenal.

Speaking in a post-match press conference, Pochettino particularly pointed fingers on Mykhailo Mudryk for living below expectations in the game.

According to him the £86m signing from Shakhtar Donetsk ‘needs to improve his game’ as he could not not lit the Blues’ attack against Arsenal as expected.

Revealing why he took him off for Nicolas Jackson, Pochettino said Mykhailo Mudryk was ”not at his best” hence the decision to substitute him for Jackson.

Notably, Mykhailo Mudryk scored a screamer in the game against Arsenal to double Chelsea’s lead after Cole Palmer scored from the penalty spot to open the scoring for the Blues.

Arsenal fought back in the second half to grab a point with goals from Rice and Trossard.

Mykhailo Mudryk has struggled at Chelsea since joining the club last summer.

Poch has admitted he was beginning to improve in training and may likely be set to earn regular spots in the club’s starting lineup.

However, Mudryk’s chances at Chelsea is still on the balance as competitions for attacking roles is still rife.

The goal against Arsenal was his second for Chelsea and he will be hoping to pick his game under the new boss.
