After mounting pressure and widespread condemnation by football fans and pundits, PGMOL, have released footage of how VAR officials disallowed Luis Diaz’s goal against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend in the Premier League, MySportDab reports.

Despite being down to 10 -men, Liverpool pulled a solid performance and were able to take the lead against Tottenham Hotspur courtesy of Luis Diaz’s goal after a quick counter.

However, the goal was wrongly chalked off after VAR review and there have been widespread condemnation of the decision to ruled out the goal as Luis Diaz was obviously onside not offside as the VAR claimed.

Liverpool have since lashed out on VAR for disallowing the goal and have equally blasted referees administrative body, PGMOL.

Following the heavy backlash from fans and pundits alike, PGMOL issued an apology, recognizing the VAR blunder as a ‘significant human error.’

Now, they have finally released footage of how the VAR officials disallowed the goal after using the offside technology device to check the goal.

From the footage, the two VAR officials, Darren England and Cook said “check complete” after they saw it clearly that Luis Diaz was onside.

The misunderstanding came when they thought the center referee, Hooper, has allowed the goal on-field before they signalled ‘check complete.’

However, England and Cook, who have been already suspended, have been blamed for a rash decision and not stopping the game to ensure the goal is counted for Liverpool.

Liverpool ended up losing the match 2-1 after the final whistle and were even down to 9-men as Diogo Jota also bagged a red card late in the game

Joel Matip scored an own goal in stoppage-time due to mounting Tottenham Hotspur pressure after the Reds were down to 9 men.

There have been calls for the VAR to be totally scrapped off the game with some football fans even calling for a rematch of the game as the error became to glaring and costly for Liverpool.
