Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has withdrawn from Cameroon squad for November international break due to injury, MySportDab reports.
Cameroon FA confirmed Onana will not continue with the Indomitable Lions in their next international fixture against Libya after he picked up an injury in the first match against Mauritius.
The former Inter Milan and Ajax goalkeeper hobbled off the field in Cameroon’s World Cup Qualifiers against Mauritius.
He kept the sticks for the Indomitable Lions who got off the mark with a winning start to 2026 World Cup Qualifiers with a 3-0 win over Mauritius.
The 27-year-old was forced off the game in 80th minute before it was later confirmed he has picked up an injury to his pubis and will not continue with the team in their next match.
Onana will now miss the match against Libya on Tuesday as he is returning immediately to Manchester United where he will be expected to be assessed by the club.
It is still unclear whether he will be fit to return to action for the Red Devils by next weekend with his backup Altay Bayindir more likely to be handed a chance if he doesn’t recover ahead of time.
Andre Onana’s injury has deepened Manchester United injury crisis as he becomes the latest name to be added to the club’s piling injury list.
He joined Manchester United from Inter Milan in the summer for £55m and has made 18 appearances for the club in all competitions with only 6 cleansheets.
