Real Madrid Move For Kylian Mbappe Over? Carlo Ancelotti Breaks Silence

Carlo Ancelotti has broken his silence on rumors linking Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid, MySportDab reports.

There have been rumors Real Madrid move for Kylian Mbappe is over as the club is no longer interested in signing the player next summer.

Real Madrid have been strongly linked with a move for Kylian Mbappe since 2021.

MySportDab understands that the infamous contract standoff between Kylian Mbappe and PSG in the summer stemmed from Real Madrid’s interest in the player.

PSG axed Kylian Mbappe from the club’s preseason squad and declared him out of PSG project after he attempted to push through a free transfer from the club next summer.

PSG officials believed Kylian Mbappe has reached an agreement with Real Madrid to join the club for free next summer hence they wanted to have him sold to the highest bidder last summer.

After a dragging contract standoff, both parties were able to mend their differences with Mbappe back to action for the club.

However, he has maintained his stance not to sign a new contract and is more likely to leave for free as he wished.

In the upcoming January transfer window, Mbappe will be free to enter into pre-contract talks and agreement with interested clubs as he neared the end of his PSG deal.

Real Madrid are still considered favorites to sign Kylian Mbappe and have had a long-standing interest in the player but a latest report from Carrusel claims Real Madrid have backed out of the race.

Now, Carlo Ancelotti has broken his silence to rumors Real Madrid are out of the race for Mbappe.

In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, Carlo Ancelotti refused to comment when asked whether Los Blancos interest in the talismani forward has waned.

He said;

“No comment. I won’t answer this about Mbappe.”

Kylian Mbappe is still under contract at PSG hence Carlo Ancelotti’s decision not to comment on the purported transfer links to the player.

The club have had a long-standing interest on the player but have recently come out to deny move to sign the player.

However, the denial has been seen as a PR move and ploy to undermine constant media spotlights linking the club to Mbappe as he is still under contract at PSG.
