Al Nassr have confirmed update on Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury, MySportDab reports.

The Al Nassr forward and Manchester United legend picked up a knock during Al Nassr’s AFC Champions League match against Persepolis.

It was not looking good for the five times Ballon d’Or winner in the second half as he was forced off the game after picking up the knock.

Now, a report shared by Sportskeeda have confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo may be set for an immediate return to action after the injury.

According to the report, Al Nassr have confirmed after an examination of the extent of the injury that Ronaldo only pick up a minor issue although he was subbed off the game.

The Portuguese football superstar missed Al Nassr previous game and was back to action hoping to deliver for the Riyadh-based club but it turned out a stalemate.

The home side were down to 10 men since the first hand and had to trudge through the game with a man disadvantage.

Prior to the game, Al Nassr have maintained a perfect record in the Asian elite club competition thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal-haul.

However, their prolific run came to an end against Persepolis as they settled for a goalless draw with Ronaldo forced off in the 78th minute.

Amid fears of a lengthy injury layoff, Cristiano Ronaldo is in top shape to return to action as scans by Al Nassr medical officers confirmed a minor issue.

Ronaldo rarely gets injured throughout his legendary and prolific career. He has been a beckon for young players across the globe with his rigorous fitness routine to keep himself in top shape.

At 38, Cristiano Ronaldo is still at the apex of his career, joining the elite list of top strikers who have over 43 goals in 2023.

On Friday, Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to return to action with arch domestic rivals Al Hilal in what will be a rollercoaster clash.

The two sides are the most in-form teams in Saudi Pro League with Al Hilal four points clear of Al Nassr.

While Cristiano Ronaldo will hope to fire Al Nassr to a win and close up the gap, the league leaders will be hoping grab a win and extend the lead over the Riyadh rivals.
