Cristiano Ronaldo made it count as Al Nassr beat Al Khaleej 2-0 in the Saudi Pro League, MySportDab reports.
It was another fantastic performance from the Portuguese legend who continued to push his side this season.
They remain second place after claiming yet another three points which was well deserved after 90 minutes.
Match Report
Things were fantastic for both teams coming into the match with so much hope of making something happen from their end going forward.
Al Khaleej were doing well enough in the early minutes which saw them holding play and making sure they were good enough defending the match.
Al Nassr were also not bad in the match until Cristiano Ronaldo gave them the lead in the 26th minutes from a wonderful goal which made it 1-0.
The goal came after a good teamwork which saw Abdulrahman Ghareeb making the assist which was beautifully executed for the club captain.
The first half progressed and ended with Al Nassr claiming a narrow 1-0 lead against Al Khaleej as they headed for the break.
The second half was another one which saw the home side coming in with so much on their mind to kill of the game immediately.
Al Nassr had Cristiano Ronaldo to thank for keeping them in the lead as they pushed on with everything to make sure they add another goal in the game.
Al Khaleej held on fine until another goal was scored by the home side in the 58th minutes from Aymeric Laporte which was able to make it 2-0.
The remaining minutes of the game did not provide anything much for both teams who had to play themselves out getting nothing.
Al Nassr finished the game with the 2-0 result which saw them claiming all three points at the end against Al Khaleej which was not an easy ride.
