It was a gameover for the visitors as they trailed by three unreplied goals with West Ham set to progress to the next round of the competition.
Late in stoppage-time, Martin Oddegard netted Arsenal’s consolation goal as the game ended with the home side running out with a 3-1 win.
It is Arsenal’s first defeat this season after 11 matches into the campaign.
