Real Madrid Confirm Vinicius Jr Injury BLOW!

Real Madrid have been dealt a huge blow as Vinicius Jr has been sidelined in another grim injury scare for the club, MySportDab reports.

Vinicius Jr picked up an injury during Brazil 2026 World Cup qualifiers defeat to Colombia.

It was not looking good for the Real Madrid frontman despite Carlo Ancelotti’s optimistic outlook on the prospects of his imminent return to action.

Vinicius Jr was subbed off the match after he picked up the injury and was immediately ruled out of Brazil next international fixture.

He was flown back to Spain where he was assessed by Real Madrid medics.

Real Madrid confirmed in a club statement that Vinicius Jr has sustained a tear on his left femoral bicep which has affected his harmstring

“Following tests carried out today (Saturday, November 18), on our player Vinicius Jr. by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a tear in his left femoral bicep which is affecting the tendon in his hamstring. His recovery will be monitored,” Real Madrid club statement reads.

Report indicate Vinicius Jr will be sidelined for numerous weeks with his slated date of possible return to action being February, 2024

The 23-year-old is now expected to miss key La Liga, Champions League, Copa Del Rey, and Spain Super Cup fixtures as he battles for recovery.

Vinicius Jr’s Injury blow has deepened Real Madrid injury crisis so far this term.

Eduardo Camavinga withdrew from France squad after he picked up and injury in training.

Aurelien Tchouameni is also on the sidelines with an injury; Arda Guler who was back to action with the club picked up an injury again.

Other top first team players on Real Madrid’s injury list include Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao.

MySportDab understand Real Madrid recently parted ways with the club’s Chief Medical Officer Niko Mihic as the injury crisis continue to mount with Arda Guler’s second injury setback the last straw that broke camel’s back.

Vinicius Jr recently penned down a new four-year contract till 2027 with Los Blancos and will hope to return to action soon with the club.
