Chelsea have confirmed the club’s team news and injury blows ahead of their clash against Sheffield United, MySportDab reports.
After series of upbeat performances against big teams in the league, Chelsea have struggled for results, and have been largely inconsistent.
Against Sheffield United this weekend, the Blues will be hoping to return to winning ways and restore the confidence of the fans craving for improved performance.
Ahead of the clash, the club have cleared the air on players who are unavailable for the clash due to injuries.
Reece James, Robert Sanchez, and Marc Cucurella have all been confirmed sidelined.
All three had to be substituted during Sunday’s fixture against Everton, with captain James withdrawn during the first half before issues forced Cucurella and Sanchez off during the final moments at Goodison Park.
Following initial assessments, Cucurella is now due to meet foot and ankle specialists with next steps to be decided in the coming days, club’s statement reveals.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Sanchez has undergone assessments on his knee with the club’s medical department and specialists.

Noni Madueke – progressing with the reconditioning phase of his rehabilitation.
Romeo Lavia – returned to partial team training.
Malo Gusto – returned to full team training.
Christopher Nkunku – returned to full team training.
Mauricio Pochettino will be under pressure to secure maximum three points against Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge following a recent poor run of form.
