Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is yet to have a good grasp of his squad with more reshuffling expected in January transfer window, MySportDab reports.
Despite a fiery domestic run last season, the Dutch is still on the process of refining and reshaping the squad to screw out his regular starting lineup.
According to Independent, ten Hag has earmarked three top first team players to leave the club in January as part of his attempt to streamline the squad to suit his style, tactics, and football philosophy.
As per the Independent, Jadon Sancho is top on the list players that will be axed by the club this January.
Sancho, who joined United from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £73m in 2021, fell out with Erik ten Hag after he was dropped from United matchday squad in September for not living up to the billing in training session.
Tensions between the two have since spiraled out of control with Jadon Sancho exiled from first team training, and other facilities meant for first team players.
He is expected to leave the club in January with Juventus interested in a move for the player.
Another Man United star set to be axed in January is Raphael Varane, who has recently been struggling to break into Man United starting IX.
Raphael Varane reportedly fell out with Erik ten Hag for dropping him in Man United backline and is reportedly ready to leave the club with ten Hag ready to sanction his transfer exit as well.
Casemiro is the third and last name on the list with an uncertain future at the club amidst Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s imminent takeover of sporting operations at the club.
Casemiro had a remarkable debut season with Manchester United last season but has struggled with injury this season that has kept him off action.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is reportedly set to evolve a new Man United recruitment plan that will place emphasis on young homegrown talents, and the likes of Casemiro will be phased out of the new order.
