FT: Chelsea 1-1 Newcastle, Blues Advance To Carabao Cup SEMIFINALS! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Chelsea qualified for Carabao Cup semifinals after beating Newcastle United 4-2 on penalties from 1-1 after 90 minutes, MySportDab reports.

The Blues made only one error which resulted in them conceding a goal from the mistake which could have easily been avoided.

Christopher Nkunku made his debut as Mykhailo Mudryk proved to be the saviour for the Blues after scoring a late equalizer in the match.

It was a busy first half for both teams who were able to do so well going forward and fighting to ensure they took an early advantage.

Newcastle United were equally in the match which saw them pushing from their end and creating opportunities which yielded nothing at the end of it.

Chelsea were doing well until a string of wrong pass saw the ball lost leading to Beniot Badiashile gifting the ball to Callum Wilson who made it 0-1 in the 16th minutes.

The game continued with more pressure coming from the home which saw Armando Broja scored but unfortunately his goal was flagged as offside by the referee.

Chelsea couldn’t make anything happen as they headed for the break behind 0-1 against Newcastle United who had their moments and benefited from an error in play.

The second half saw changes being made from both ends while they look to take the game by it head against themselves with 45 minutes left to play.

Chelsea were the side who needed something more to happen as they chased the game from behind which saw them doing more of opportunities on goal.

Newcastle United held on fine with everything thrown at them in the match which pushed on with more entering the final minutes to be played.

Mykhailo Mudryk scored a beauty which was able to put things back in place 1-1 in the additional time as the game progressed unto penalties.

Chelsea were well organized scoring all their four penalties which was them beating Newcastle United 4-2 to advance into the Carabao Cup semifinal.
