Arsenal started the game in the front foot but struggled to maintain absolute dominance over proceedings.
PSV equally commanded a good possession of the ball but were vulnerable at the back when Arsenal were in the offensive.
It was not long before Arsenal took the lead thanks to a brilliant strike by Eddie Nketiah from inside the box.

Early in the second half, the home side were able to finally score the equaliser thanks to a powerful strike by Vertessen in the 50th minute.
After Vertessen’s equaliser, both ran short of chances to take the lead but Arsenal came to making it count late in stoppage-time but PSV Eindhoven goalie produced a sensational effort to deny the visitors.
