Manchester City finished their group unbeaten after claiming a 2-3 against Crvena Zvezda in their final match, MySportDab reports.

Pep Guardiola fielded a much less side in the encounter allowing some youth players to play in the Champions League.

It was another smooth game in which the senior player had the opportunity to rest ahead of the weekend Premier League game coming up.

There was so much to play for in the match which saw the Champions making use of a more youthful side filled with hungry to showcase.

Manchester City waited for just 16 minutes before taking the lead which came from youngster Micah Hamilton who was able to make it 0-1 with a beauty.

Crvena Zvezda did well enough to ensure they were composed knowing they could have easily been broken down more after conceding in the match.

The first half carried and nothing much coming from them as they pushed with the 45 minutes coming to an end with Manchester City taking a 0-1 lead against Crvena Zvezda.

The second half saw a much entertaining game which produced goals from the two teams who were able to give their best before the end.

Manchester City dominated things until they added another goal in the 62nd minutes through Oscar Bobb who made the scoreline 0-2 as they pushed on.

In-Beom Hwang pulled one goal back for Crvena Zvezda in the 76th minutes ensuring things between them became 1-2 as the game proceed.

It was raining goals as the Champions scored again from a penalty through Kalvin Phillips who sent the goalkeeper the wrong direction to make it 1-3 in the 85th minutes.

Aleksandar Katai netted a late goal which saw the match coming to an end with Manchester City claiming a 2-3 victory against Crvena Zvezda who gave it a good fight.
