Liverpool have finally broken their silence on the ruling of European Court of Justice on European Super League, MySportDab reports.
The Reds stirred speculations as they tarried to join other clubs to take a stand on the Super League after European Court of Justice ruling.
Manchester United were the first English club to release a statement distancing themselves from European Super League before Manchester City, Tottenham, Chelsea, and Arsenal in that order.
Liverpool missed from the Bis Six Premier League clubs to immediately release statement but have now finally broken their silence.
Liverpool club statement on the belated European Super League reads;
“Yesterday’s ruling by the European Court of Justice does not change Liverpool FC’s previous stance on a proposed European Super League. Our involvement has been discontinued.
“We will continue to work with fellow clubs through the ECA and participate in UEFA competitions.”
With Liverpool’s statement, all Premier League Bix Six have now distanced themselves from European Super League.
The Premier League also added their statement reiterating their rejection of the ambitious football project.
It is not only Premier League clubs that have registered their disapproval of the European Super League. Spanish, Italian, French, and German clubs have also joined voices to reiterate their commitment to UEFA.
Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, Monaco, PSG, Inter Milan, are some of the club’s that have distanced selves from European Super League.
The ringleaders of the project, Real Madrid and Barcelona, are the only clubs who are in and are still pushing for the realization of the breakaway competition.
