Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has made a demand on the club’s hierarchy as the club’s misfortunes lingers, MySportDab reports.

From elite-level performances against the big teams in the Premier League to crashing defeats against Manchester United and Everton, Pochettino seemed to be losing his his credibility at Stamford Bridge.
The former PSG boss has been lauded for a better style of play that has transformed the team into a formidable bunch, especially after the 4-1 hammering of Tottenham Hotspur, 4-4 draw with Manchester City at Etihad, and 3-2 win over Brighton despite playing 10 men.
Now, it appears such gains have been eroded with recent underwhelming performances against Manchester United and Everton.
Mauricio Pochettino blamed fatigue among Chelsea players for the defeat against Manchester United, having played 10 men against Brighton for over 45 minutes before the Man United fixture.
After the loss to Man United, the Blues were expected to put up a far more better performance against Everton, but it turned out to be a nightmare for the away fans at Goodison Park.
Everton eased to a 2-0 win to compound the pressure on Mauricio Pochettino and tow down the gains by the squad.
Reacting after the match, Mauricio Pochettino revealed he was disappointed with the defeat to the Toffees, and made a candid call on the club’s hierarchy to improve the squad by signing more players, specifically strikers in the January transfer market.
“Football is about scoring goals and we were not clinical in front of goal. I’m really, really disappointed. We didn’t get the point we deserved. I think we were better but we didn’t get what we wanted.
“This was a game to play and to win. It’s a problem we need to check. We need to analyse the reality. We need to talk and to try and improve in the next transfer market.”
Todd Boehly has expended about £1bn on transfers since he became the club’s new owner. Close to 50% of the amount (£435m) has been spent under Mauricio Pochettino.
Chelsea outclassed Everton with a more improved performance with possession, completed passes, duels won, attempts, and other key stats but were struggling to convert their chances.
