Receiving the ball inside Cagliari box, Osimhen was serenaded by Cagliari defenders with his back facing the goal.

Instead of trying to ease off the pressure on him by passing back to his teammate outside the box, the Nigerian striker made a daring move to push through.

He tactfully lobbed the ball repeatedly and then steered himself to safety close to the back post before crossing the ball to Kvicha Kvaratskhelia who slotted it pass Cagliari goalkeeper to make it 2-1 for the home side.

Osimhen’s goal and assist ensured Napoli secure all maximum points from Cagliari to stay up the lanes of defending the title.

He missed weeks of action for the Neapolitans due to injury but is now on course to register another prolific campaign for the club this season.

He has been linked with a move to Chelsea but had recently agreed in principle to extend his contract with Napoli till 2026.
