Liverpool made light work of Newcastle United beating them 3-1 to go three points clear of the Premier League table, MySportDab reports.
The Reds had themselves to blame after missing an opportunity to put things in their favor before heading for the break after 45 minutes.
Mohamed Salah missed a penalty before redeeming himself by scoring twice and making an assist to help the Reds claim the needed victory.

There was so much which took place in the opening stages of the match which saw a lot going down from both ends while it was heated.
Newcastle United came into the match with some sad news of more players getting injured and unable to start the encounter at Anfield.
Liverpool had the chance of putting themselves ahead in the 22nd minute of play but unfortunately, Mohamed Salah was poor with his penalty which was not converted.
The game carried bringing nothing much from either of them as they continued with creating opportunities but none was hitting the right target.
Liverpool and Newcastle United couldn’t measure up to anything as the fans witnessed a first half which did not provide any goal with them heading for the break 0-0.
They both came into the second half showing a lot of improvement which saw some early glimpses of promises, but the scoreline did not change quickly.
Liverpool continued pressing with them holding more of the ball while squeezing everything possible to make things happen for themselves.
Newcastle United were stunned in the 49th minute after Darwin Nunez set up Mohamed Salah who scored nearly to make things between them 1-0.
The away side responded immediately in the 54th minute which saw Anthony Gordon setting up Alexander Isak who finished off well making things 1-1.
Curtis Jones scored to restore the advantage in the 74th minute making things 2-1. Another goal came in from Cody Gakpo in the 78th minute making it 3-1.
The match was far from over as the away side pulled one goal back again which came through Botman as it was 3-2 in the 82nd minutes.
Mohamed Salah made it his brace with a goal in the 86th minutes which came from a penalty making things between them 4-2.
Liverpool escaped with their 4-2 victory which placed them three point clear from second place team in the Premier League table from the win against Newcastle United.
