The 2023 Globe Soccer Awards was wrapped up with a glittering award ceremony in the United Arab Emirates on Friday, MySportDab reports.
It was another scintillating football awards event featuring some of the best and the finest legs of the game.
Leading the list of players who were honored at the event was Cristiano Ronaldo. Cristiano bagged a triple gong. He was awarded the Middle East Player of the Year, the Fans Favorite Player Award, and the Maradona Award.
Ronaldo’s Middle East Player of the Year Award honors his achievement with Al-Nassr and by extension the growth and improvement of Asian club football since he moved to the region.
The Fans Favorite Player of The Year award honors his endearing presence and appeal to football fans in the Middle East since joining Al Nassr.
The Maradona Award honors his unmatched 54-goal tally in 2023 which made his the world’s top scorer for club and country in the year.
Other top football actors who were honored at the event were Erling Haaland of Manchester City. Erling Haaland bagged the Best Men’s Player of the Year after helping Manchester City to a heroic treble in his debut season with the club.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was awarded the Best Coach of the Year after he bagged the second treble of his managerial career, winning the Champions League, FA Cup, and the Premier League with Manchester City, including the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup.
Jorge Mendes was awarded the Best Agent of the Year while Manchester Coth passed as this Best Club of the Year with their owner Bin Salman winning the Best Club Owner of the Year.
