Liverpool legend and Al-Ahli forward Roberto Firmino has been linked with a return to the Premier League, MySportDab reports.
Firmino left Liverpool last summer to join Al-Ahli as a free agent following his dwindling fortunes at Anfield.
The prolific Brazilian forward got off the mark for Al-Ahli, making a banging start with a hat-trick on his Saudi Pro League debut.
It was a groundbreaking start to life for the 34-year-old. However, the waves of fortune flipped suddenly with the former Hoffenheim forward struggling to find the back of the net in subsequent matches.
He has failed to add a single goal to his hat-trick and was reportedly struggling to find his feet in his new home.
Firmino’s dragging goal drought sparked rumors of his imminent transfer exit from Al-Ahli. As per reports, Firmino was disillusioned with his stint in Saudi Arabia six months into his contract and was eyeing a return to the Premier League.

Now, a report shared by Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the stance of Roberto Firmino on his Al-Ahli future amidst rumors of a possible return to the Premier League.
As per Fabrizio Romano, Firmino’s representatives have confirmed the Brazilian is not interested in a return to the Premier League and is focused on his career with Al-Ahli.
The report reads;
“Roberto Firmino, not planning to leave. Al Ahli in the January transfer window despite recent reports.
“Very clear message from his camp: he’s set to stay at Al Ahli. No changes expected.”

Firmino has 3 goals in 17 Saudi Pro League matches for Al-Ahli. He has two-and-a-half years remaining on his contract.
