Tottenham Seal Loan Move For Timo Werner

Tottenham Hotspur have sealed a loan move for Timo Werner as the club aim to provide cover for their attack heading into the second lap of 2023/24 Premier League campaign, MySportDab reports.

Spurs suffered heavy setback in their Premier League campaign this season following the injury of James Maddison.

Ange Postecoglou got off to a roaring start at the dugout with the Lilywhites but crashed and settled for a successive winless run which drag the team off the Premier League top no thanks to critical injury blows that ravaged the Aussie’s squad setup.

To arrest the attacking lapses and other attacking weak points due to injuries, Ange Postecoglou has decided to go for Timo Werner.

The formerly underrated Aussie bloke is said to be a strong admirer of Timo Werner for his attacking style of play and pace with the ball.

The 27-year-old will easily yell into Postecoglou’s setup and possibly deputize for Son Heung-Min on the attack as the latter will be missed for a month due to Asian Cup.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham have reached agreement with RB Leipzig for Timo Werner for a loan deal.

They will pay the Bundesliga outfit £4.5m for the move and have also agreed to foot a part of Timo Werner s wages.

A buy option has been attached to the loan move with the buyout clause pegged at £14.5m after the expiration of the loan tenure.

Timo Werner will stay put with Tottenham for the rest of the season and is likely to have the loan deal made permeant if he impress on the field.

It will be second time he has played in the Premier League after a previous inglorious outing with Tottenham’s cross-city rivals Chelsea.
