Criminal gangs have reportedly turned the house of top Premier. League player into a Cannabis factory, MySportDab reports.
According to the report shared by the Sun, the members of the criminal gants reportedly storm into the property owned by a top Premier League player and started growing the illicit product.
The identity of the Premier League player is concealed for privacy reasons but it is understood he was not aware of the plot by the gangsters to convert his moderate living space into a production hub for Cannabis.
Sources close to the property, revealed the gang members forcefully raided the property and force out the tenants before converting it into a factory for Cannabis.
The gangsters have reportedly continued operating in the property, growing Cannabis in a sizeable quantity for a while before the bubble was bursted by the UK Police after a tip by a whistleblower.
In the process of the raid, one of the tenant, who is said to be female, was arrested. It was at the instance of her arrest that the the security operatives learnt the property belongs to a top Premier League player plying his trade in the English elite division.
The Premier League star and the tenant were both arrested and interrogated for apparently abetting the illicit operation.
The Premier League player is said to have been shocked by the whole drama as it unfurled. According to him, having rent out the property z he was never aware of what was going on.
More details into the incident revealed the tenant was apparently set up by the gangsters to be indicted by the security operatives.
After questioning, the Police released the the player and the tenant and decided not press any charge against them. The property is said to be located in North West England but the identity of the owner is still undisclosed for privacy reasons.
