Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr demolished Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami in the much-anticipated club friendly at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, MySportDab reports.
The Saudi Pro League runners-up squared up with the Leagues Cup champions in a match that was termed the final dance between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Unfortunately, Cristiano Ronaldo was ruled out of the game due to injury. The Portuguese and world footballing icon watched on the stands as his team Al-Nassr put his eternal rival Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami to rout at the Kingdom Arena.
Al-Nassr completely dominated proceedings from start to finish, flooring the MLS side in what was expected to be a cracker.
It was a rout early in the first half for the SPL side. Octavio fired Al-Nassr into the lead just three minutes into the game. A rickety Inter Miami defense reeling from sustained pressure from Al-Nassr collapsed like a pack of cards under Al-Nassr’s prolific firing arsenal.
Seven minutes after Octavio’s goal, Al-Nassr forward Talisca fired the Saudi title hopefuls into a two-goal lead in the 10th minute.
Two minutes later, Former Manchester City star Aymeric Laporte put the game beyond Inter Miami, scoring Al Nassr’s third goal to extend the lead by three unreplied goals.
Inter Miami struggled to even find a consolation goal and were outplayed and overwhelmed by a dominant Al-Nassr side.
The first half ended with Al-Nassr leading 3-0 as the Herons failed to cut the goal arrears. The hosts continued from where they stopped in the second half.
Talisca opened the scoring again in the second half to bag his brace and extend the lead to 4-0 in the 51st minute. Maran added to the score tally, scoring in the 68th minute to make it 5-0.
Talisca was not done with Inter Miami as he scored his third goal in the 73rd minute to bag his hat-trick and make it 6-0.
Al-Nassr wrapped up the game with a convincing 6-0 victory to condemn Lionel’s Messi Inter Miami to a heavy defeat. Inter Miami have nor lost their first two games in Riyadh Season Cup against Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr.
