Virgil van Dijk scored a late goal as Liverpool claimed a 0-1 victory against Chelsea to lift the EFL Carabao Cup, MySportDab reports.
It was an incredible showdown at Wembley Stadium which saw so much happening on the pitch as it was raining opportunities.
The Blues gave it all their best but it wasn’t their final as the Reds were able to keep to their play before going on to win the title.

Things were tight between both teams from kickoff as they wanted to make opportunities, but it was all coming as a struggle from the opening minutes.
The game started following with opportunities and it was Cole Palmer who had a sitter which could have put Chelsea ahead but he wasn’t able to finish off as the goalkeeper saved.
Raheem Sterling scored in the match against Liverpool but a controversial decision was made by VAR who called Nicolas Jackson offside in a debatable situation that happened at Wembley Stadium.
There was a close opportunity for the Reds who could have made it count but the header hit the woodwork leaving things to remain 0-0 as they continued pushing.
The first half between Chelsea and Liverpool was filled with a lot of talk and controversy before both teams headed inside for the break with a 0-0 scoreline after 45 minutes.
The tempo increased more from both teams coming into the second half where it was cagey with them still pushing more to see what could become of the opportunities.
Chelsea continued doing everything possible to ensure they went ahead, but the more they pushed the more they faced a fightback from the Reds who dominated play.
Virgil van Dijk scored in the 60th minute but once again it was chopped off by VAR leaving things between both teams to stay goalless as Liverpool dominated more.
They played through with the Blues almost taking the lead on several occasions but Caoimhin Kelleher stood tall making some incredible saves to keep his side as they ended 90 minutes 0-0.
The first half of the extra time was cagey with nothing being able to separate them despite how they pushed going forward on goal.
