FT: Manchester City 1-1 Chelsea, Rodri GOAL Earn DRAW! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Rodri’s late goal in the second half made sure Manchester City played a 1-1 draw against Chelsea, MySportDab reports.

Both teams were decent enough with their play which saw numerous opportunities and one goal scored in under 45 minutes between them at the Etihad Stadium.

Raheem Sterling scored in the first half for the Blues who took the Champions by surprise in a match which could have gone either way.

It was a good game which started with the home side bossing play and doing everything possible to keep the ball with them moving forward.

Manchester City tossed the ball around and got close on some occasions but they couldn’t make much from the situation they found themselves in.

Chelsea did well enough defending until Nicolas Jackson had an opportunity against the goalkeeper and he was unable to make anything happen from the chance.

The game continued with so much happening until Raheem Sterling scored a shocker which was able to see the visitors taking a 0-1 lead in the 42nd minute of things.

Chelsea took the lead 0-1 as they both went inside for the break after an amazing 45 minutes which Manchester City was behind despite being the better of both teams.

They came inside for the second 45 minutes of action with a lot of work to do knowing they both would fancy their chances of coming out with the result.

Chelsea kept calm and tried to play the home side at their game which saw a lot being exposed but their sharp defending saved them as things continued.

Manchester City continued to knock down hard on their opponent but nothing seemed to break them down no matter how much effort they had to put in.

Rodri was able to score the equalizer after a wonderful strike from the 83rd minute and was able to ensure they came back into the affair with a 1-1 scoreline.

A late VAR call could have changed the whole game for Manchester City but unfortunately, they had to settle for the 1-1 draw against Chelsea after 90 minutes.
