French giants PSG are eyeing a move for Man United star Marcus Rashford to replace their departing star striker Kylian Mbappe, MySportDab reports.

The French giants have been told by Kylian Mbappe that he will not renew his contract with the club and will leave as a free agent when his current deal expires in the summer.

It is understood PSG have been scouring the market for new signings as a backup for Kylian Mbappe with some high-profile young talents making the club’s target.

As per reports, Man United star Marcus Rashford is top on PSG’s striker shortlist yo replace Mbappe. The French giants are reportedly ready to make a move for the player in the summer.

It is not the first time PSG have shown concrete interest in signing Marcus Rashford. In the summer of 2022, the French giants made moves to sign Rashford.

The club officials reportedly met with Rashford representatives for a deal but were turned down as the 26-year-old stuck with Manchester United, signing a new five-year contract worth £300,000 weekly.

With Rashford’s new contract in place, it is unlikely he will switch to Parc Des Princes from Old Trafford but a considerable offer for the player to United could force a shock transfer with Sir Jim Ratcliffe now incharge in Man United footballing operations and transfers

Rashford scored a record 30 goals for Manchester United last season but has struggled for form this season.

He has managed just five goals in all competitions for the Red Devils and has had his performances marred with off-field controversies as well.

Despite his slack in performance for United, Rashford remains key in Erik ten Hag’s Man United squad but a transfer switch to PSG is not an impossibility with Sir Jim Ratcliffe heading on with his drive to restructure the team’s recruitment plan by signing new football administrators like Omar Berrada and soon-to-be sporting director Dan Ashworth.
