Kylian Mbappe is yet to renew his deal with PSG and has been heavily linked with a transfer exit from the club at the end of the season, MySportDab reports.

With a few months left on his contract, PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi confirmed Kylian Mbappe is yet to update the club on his decision.

Meanwhile, Mbappe’s long-time admirers Real Madrid have been heavily linked with the player. Mbappe turned down a move to Real Madrid back in 2021, choosing to pen down a new contract with PSG.

L’Equipe reported Mbappe is now close and ready to move to Real Madrid, hence his decision not to sign a new contract with the club.

However, a recent report by Marca has revealed Real Madrid’s move for Kylian Mbappe has suffered a ‘significant setback.’

According to the report, Real Madrid are having problems reaching an agreement with Mbappe’s agent and mother Fayza Lamari.

Fayza Lamari is reportedly unmoved on her stand to broker the best deal possible for the footballing sensation and son. She reportedly wants as much as £60m annual salary for Kylian Mbappe plus a signing-on bonus of £107m.

Conversely, Real Madrid, who have significantly pegged down their offer for the player, want to offer him a contract worth £30million per year, as per BILD.

This is almost three times less than what PSG have tabled for Mbappe (£86m) to convince him to sign a new contract.

It is yet to be determined how far the imbroglio on the negotiation table between Lamari and Real Madrid could twist the progress of talks with the player. Nevertheless, it is believed Mbappe’s camp are not likely to peg down their demand to the £30million annual offer by Real Madrid.

The projections are that the two parties are more likely to reach a middle-ground offer more than Real Madrid’s £30m offer but less than Mbappe’s £60m demand.

It is understood Mbappe is not entirely motivated by financial pecks at this point as he would not have forgone a £60m contract bonus on his PSG contract or refused the club’s new £86m offer.

However, the red-hot French striker would definitely opt for an optimal offer from the Los Blancos before the groundbreaking transfer switch.
