Manchester United new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is open to the return of Mason Greenwood to Manchester United, MySportDab reports.
Greenwood, 25, was axed out of Man United squad in 2022 after he was arrested by Manchester police for allegations of sexual assault and rape.
After a dragging legal tussle, charges against him were dropped. It was thought he would be integrated into Man United squad after charges against him were dropped but United insisted on internal investigations before a decision on his Man United future.
After investigations, Manchester United issued a statement clearing Mason Greenwood of the allegations but decided to have him restart his career away from the club due to mounting pressure from sections of the club’s fan base.
In the final hours of the 2023 transfer window, Greenwood was loaned to Getafe on a season-long loan deal with no buy option.

Greenwood has impressed on his loan shift to Getafe but sources close to Man United revealed he may not likely play for the club again as plans were underway to sell him at the end of the season.
A £34m transfer fee was reportedly slammed on the player with 18 months left on his contract with the club.
Now, against projections of Greenwood’s ill-fated career at Manchester United, Man United new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has revealed the club will consider a new decision on the player.
In a quote shared by Fabrizio Romano, Sir Jim Ratcliffe insists Mason Greenwood is still a Man United player and a fresh decision will be taken on his future.
“It’s a new decision to make for us. He’s a Man United player”.
“We need to look at facts, judge fairly and take into consideration what the values of the club are”.
“Then we come out of that with a decision on Greenwood”.

Meanwhile, Greenwood has been linked with top LaLiga clubs interested in his services following his impressive loan shift with Getafe.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly top clubs pushing for a move for the wantaway winger with Greenwood equally ready to continue his career in LaLiga.
