Manchester United new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe ‘wants Zinedine Zidane’ as new Manchester United manager, MySportDab reports.

The 72-year-old has been throwing his weight around, making drastic changes in Manchester United sporting and footballing operations.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe convinced former Manchester City elite football officer Omar Berrada to swap the Etihad outfit for Manchester United.

He is also set to bring on revered and highly-rated Newcastle United football administrator Dan Ashworth as Manchester United sports director.

Now, according to reports from Daily Mail, the Manchester United co-owner and football enthusiast is eyeing a possible change of hand in Manchester United’s dugout with Erik ten Hag at the risk of losing his job.

The report adds Sir Jim Ratcliffe ‘wants Zinedine Zidane’ as Manchester United new manager to replace ten Hag.

The UK billionaire is said to be a strong admirer of Zinedine Zidane and has been on the trail the French coach.

He reportedly wanted to have Zinedine Zidane took over the reins on his other football outfit – Nice in France, but could not make the move happen as Zinedine Zidane was still on his sabbatical after his departure from Real Madrid.

Zidane is ready to return to football management and has been linked to top clubs in Europe. Sources close to the Champions League and LaLiga winner reveal Zidane is only interested in a bigger project and a move to Manchester United in the Premier League would be enticing enough.

Conversely, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is at crossroads in his managerial career at Old Trafford.

After a rollercoaster debut season with the Red Devils, the Dutch is struggling to find his footing with United this season.

United crashed out of the Champions League, got knocked of the EFL Cup, and are drifting off the race for a top-four finish.

Despite claims of having the backing of United hierarchy under Jim Ratcliffe, Erik ten Hag is not untouchable in the dugout at Old Trafford with Sir Jim bent on overhauling United football operations.

Sir Jim hinted on Erik ten Hag’s future when he stated in his maiden media parley that he and his new team will decide Manchester United’s style of play and a new manager will be mandated to deploy that style of play.
