Wirtz, 20, known for his playmaking role and prolific goalscoring run with Bayer Leverkusen, made headlines with a stunning goal for Germany against France on Saturday.

It was an incredible strike by the young starlet and it came just seven seconds into the game.

Just before France could have a touch of the ball, Wirtz came roaring with the brilliant long-range goal.

Receiving a pass from Toni Kroos, who is just returning from retirement, the German young starlet roared into France’s gaping midfield. He then made a couple of touches before daring to strike from the distance.

His right-footed rocket flew like a missile and looped into the top corner.

It was a sensational goal by the youngster and his first goal for the German national team in his 15 appearances for the Die Manmschafts.

Reactions have continued to trail the masterclass goal with football fans hailing the timing, precision, and courage of the midfielder.

A fan wrote, “Oh, what a goal! This is incredible.”

Another fan wrote, “Florian Wirtz is the next big thing in the game. He knowns his onions.”

Another fan added, “No way this goal should win the Puskas.”

Wirtz’s goal paved the way to victory for Germany as they ran out with a deserved 2-0 victory. Arsenal star Kai Havertz scored the second goal four minutes into the second half to condemn France to a defeat at their home ground in Lyon.

Having opened his goal account for Germany, Wirtz will hope to continue on his prolific run as Germany prepare for the next friendly against Netherlands on Tuesday, March 26.
