FT: Aston Villa 0-4 Tottenham, Spurs SINK Villa Park! (VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS)

Timo Werner scored again as Tottenham thrashed 10-man Aston Villa 0-4 to narrow the gap between them and the top four, MySportDab reports.

Son Heung Min was part of the goal scorers and also did well to make multiple assists which was a man of the match performance.

James Maddison did play a huge role as Villa captain McGinn was the man who was sent off leaving his side with no option but to lose badly.

It was a good start between both teams who needed the three points as the fight for a top-four finish is the main priority between them both.

Aston Villa were prepared knowing the task that was at hand and they needed to also boost their chances of remaining in the top four.

Tottenham did well enough with their dominance but it wasn’t enough as they were held to a 0-0 scoreline after 45 minutes of action which was cagey.

They resumed the second half with optimism from both teams but it was Tottenham who took the lead after a nice assist from Sarr which James Maddison scored in the 50th minute to make it 0-1.

Another goal came in the 53rd minute through a well-take play which saw Son Heung Mim set up Brennan Johnson who made sure his finish was perfect to make it 0-2.

John McGinn made things worse for Aston Villa after getting a red card in the 65th minute which led to him getting sent off as things progressed.

Spurs took the leverage and added to their lead very late through Son Hung Min’s 91st minutes of added time to make it 0-3 with an assist from Kulusevski.

Timo Werner made sure Tottenham cemented the victory after he made it another goal in additional time to end things 0-4 against Aston Villa with Son making the assist.
