The second half was a no departure from the first half. Manchester United continued to struggle to exert their dominance in the game, all to no avail.

Brentford seemed to have cracked up United’s game plan and were on the ascendancy going forward. They registered a record 30 attempts but could only manage 4 on target.

The regulation time was spent with both sides unable to break the goal deadlock before Man United substitute Mason Mount finally gave United the lead in the 90+6th minute.
