The UEFA Champions League holders Manchester City book quarter-final ticket after beating Copenhagen 3-1 and 6-1 in aggregate, MySportDab reports.

Erling Haaland was on target to make sure his side was able to advance by dispatching their opponent for the next round of the competition.

It was another good victory the goals were already coming in from the beginning with the Champions making things look easy for themselves.

It was another match in the Champions League in which the title holders scored an early goal which came from Manuel Akanji just 5 minutes into the encounter making it 1-0.

Copenhagen were lost in the game and it wasn’t nice as they fell further behind with a scoreline of 2-0 in the 9th minute with a goal from Julian Alvarez.

Mohamed Elyounoussi pulled one goal back against Manchester City which came from a beautiful finish made happen in the 29th minute pushing things to 2-1.

Erling Haaland scored in the additional time which saw Manchester City headed for the break on top with a 3-1 lead against Copenhagen who were very poor.

Things in the second half developed so well that there were more talking points in the match which was made easy by the Champions as they progressed.

Copenhagen were able to stop the easy flow of goals that was happening in the encounter and they also did make some moves trying to see if they could score.

The game carried on with Manchester City relaxing more knowing the match was already won by them and they needed to bring in some young players to give them action.

Nothing was spared as Manchester City advanced into the quarter-final with an aggregate of 6-1 after winning the game 3-1 against Copenhagen who was lost all through.
