Gareth Southgate has confirmed Harry Kane may not be available for action for England double-header friendlies against Brazil and Belgium in the international break, MySportDab reports.
Speaking ahead of England’s first friendly against Brazil tomorrow, Southgate confirmed Kane is yet to recover from his injury and is a doubt for the friendlies.
“Harry Kane is not fit for the match against Brazil and is also a doubt for the Belgium match,” Gareth Southgate says.
Harry Kane picked up a gruesome injury after he crashed awkwardly into the goalpost during Bayern Munich’s 5-2 victory over Darmstadt in their last Bundesliga match before the break.
The former Tottenham forward plunged to ground and was screaming with pain holding his ankle after the accidental collision.
He was quickly attended to by Bayern Munich medics who rushed to the scene. After administering first aid, trying to straighten his ankle which was twisted in the clash, they helped him off the pitch as he limped off.
Kane could not continue with the game despite the intervention and had to be subbed off by Thomas Tuchel.

There were apparently initial wrangles between Bayern Munich and England national team on whether to allow Kane join up with England national team for the ongoing March international break due to the injury.
Bayern Munich director Christoph Freund said the club will be precautious on Kane’s injury and would consider not allowing him join up with England squad sequence to the injury.
However, the narrative changed after medical examination. Bayern Munich confirmed Kane will be allowed to join England squad but will be placed on rehabilitation while with the team with the club collaborating to monitor his progress and treatment.
Now, Kane may end up not making any appearance for the Three Lions in their two international friendlies due to the injury, as per Gareth Southgate.
It is still unclear when he will return to fitness but it is not looking good as things stand.
Nevertheless, the Bayern Munich sensation will hope to recover and return to action in the Bundesliga after the international break.
