Erling Haaland has made an awkward reaction when asked about Lionel Messi winning the award despite him scoring more than the Argentine, MySportDab reports.
The Norway player had a fantastic 2022/2023 season which saw him scoring a lot of goals and winning everything possible on club level.
Erling Haaland was quizzed concerning Lionel Messi during his Manchester City press conference which took place today Tuesday 2024.
The debate and talks which surrounded the City man during the FIFA awards and Ballon d’OR were once talked about after Lionel Messi was the preferred winner.
According to Fabrizio Romano reports, he shared reaction from the striker when asked about the situation concerning Messi.
Here Is What He Said:
“He was asked? “You scored lot of goals and Messi won the most important individual awards, does he have to retire in order for you to win that?”.
“Erling Haaland: “Good question! I don’t know. He’s won the World Cup…”.
“Messi is the best as ever played, I think”.
Erling Haaland will be hoping he get what he fully deserves but there is Kylian Mbappe who will be taking part in Euro 2024.
It won’t be an easy of for Haaland who want to remain with Manchester City and looking to become the next best player in the world.
